After successfully crowdfunding and releasing Tangled Blessings, a magic academy roleplaying game in 2023, Cassi Mothwin offers a return to the dark and mysterious universe with the announcement of the supplemental game book Tangled Blessings: Echoes of Lost Electives — set to crowdfund on Backerkit September 3, 2024.
Initially funded as digital-only expansions to the base Tangled Blessings game, the Winter Break expansion, Twisted Endings, and the upcoming House expansion will be bundled together in one printed volume and feature yet unreleased and unannounced content. To further build out the world, Mothwin invited 10 new voices to add their own spin on the existing houses.
“I’m incredibly lucky to have so many skilled tabletop RPG writers join this project,” said Mothwin when speaking about her new collaborators. She continued, “While I take a lot of pride in how much I manage on my own, it’s a privilege to have this amazing group of people from all different backgrounds to collaborate with. I can’t wait for fans of Tangled Blessings to experience the amazing ideas this crew has created.”
The list of guest writers includes: Candace McAfee (they/she), Kyle Tam (she/they), Rori Montford (she/her), J Strautman (they/them), Samantha Leigh (she/they), gothHoblin (she/her), Sebastian Yūe (they/them), Kendrick/Kendo (they/he), Seb Pines (they/them), and S. Kaiya J. (she/her). Echoes will also include new generation tables developed by Kat The Lore Mistress.
Mothwin hopes to inspire magical school, witch, and horror roleplaying fans to support her project on BackerKit, a crowdfunding platform, where her goal will be $2,000 to see the project in print.
